Remote access

Trusted Broadcast 3,4 and Production Crew members can access certain resources while off-campus, namely :

• The production iMac
• The storage server, bigfoot

Remote access is facillitated using Tailscale VPN client. You must request an invitation link for the Tailnet from someone who already has remote access. They will confirm your trustability and then provide you the code over Discord or some other channel they can communicate with you with. You can login with any solution — it does not need to be GitHub.

Connecting to the NAS

After connecting to the Tailscale VPN client, you'll be able to access the NAS by going to https://bigfoot.axolotl-tawny.ts.net or https://100.90.80.70:5000 and ignoring the warning for an untrusted certifcate. Samba/SMB/CIFS access is permitted (see how to add on Windows and Mac).
