Network-attached storage

We use Synology's RS1221RP+ NAS to create a ~35 terabyte file server for archiving media, ingressing media from the PXWs, and making segment turn-in simpler. The NAS is scheduled to turn on and off automatically — it turns on at 6:00 and off at 22:00 everyday, local time. It is, for better or worse, codenamed bigfoot.

It utilises 8 10Tb Seagate IronWolf drives in a RAID 10 array using Btrfs.
